Maple Gym Tracker is an independently developed fitness application operated by an individual developer based in Ontario, Canada, using Maple Digital Labs as a publishing name. In this Privacy Policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to the developer and operator of Maple Gym Tracker. This policy explains how personal information is collected, used, protected, and managed when using the App.

At a glance: Maple Gym Tracker helps you record workouts, training plans, exercise progress, and body measurements. Some information is stored on your device and, when you use an account and synchronization features, on our backend systems. The App also supports notifications and may display advertising through Google AdMob.

1. Information we collect and process

Depending on which features you use, the App may process:

You choose what fitness records and optional profile details to enter. Workout and body-measurement data may be sensitive, so please enter only information you want to store in the App.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; sign you in; save and synchronize your fitness records; show your training history; manage preferences and reminders; send requested notifications; respond to support and privacy requests; troubleshoot errors; help prevent misuse; and operate and improve the App.

When advertisements are enabled, advertising providers may use relevant technical and advertising data to deliver, measure, and manage ads, subject to applicable privacy choices and requirements.

3. Local storage and cloud synchronization

Some App data is saved locally on your device. Account and synchronized fitness information may also be transmitted over the internet to the Maple Gym Tracker backend, which uses PHP/MySQL infrastructure hosted through HostGator. The information available on a particular device can depend on your account and synchronization status.

4. Services that may process data

These providers may process data under their own applicable terms and privacy notices. Learn more at Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps and sites.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the security of the App, or in connection with a lawful business transition, subject to applicable legal requirements.

5. Advertising and privacy choices

Maple Gym Tracker may display ads served through Google AdMob. The types of advertisements and data processed can depend on your region, device settings, consent choices, and our advertising configuration. Non-personalized ads can still involve limited technical data processing, such as for frequency limits, security, and reporting.

Where required, consent or other appropriate privacy controls should be presented before advertising-related processing that requires them. You can also review your device's advertising privacy settings. Disabling ad personalization does not necessarily remove all ads.

6. Notifications and reminders

The App supports personal reminders and, where available and enabled, push notifications. Push messages may be routed using Firebase Cloud Messaging; local reminders may use your device's notification or alarm features. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings and available reminder settings in the App.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect user information, including authenticated access to account features and HTTPS connections to our production API. No internet service or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please protect your account credentials and contact us if you suspect unauthorized account activity.

8. International data processing

Our hosting and technology providers may store or process information in countries other than the one where you live, including locations where their systems or service providers operate. Privacy and data-protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

9. Data retention and account deletion

We generally keep account information and synchronized fitness records while your account remains active and as needed to provide the App. Data stored locally may remain on a device until you remove it through available App features or remove the App, subject to device behavior.

You can request account deletion through the App's Settings → Delete Account feature, or by contacting delete@mapledigitallabs.com. Account deletion removes the account and associated records from our active application database. Limited records may be retained when necessary for legal compliance, security, investigations, or operational recovery, and third-party providers may apply their own retention schedules.

If you have concerns about information that may remain after deletion, including an uploaded profile photo, email privacy@mapledigitallabs.com so we can investigate.

10. Your rights and choices

You can edit certain information in the App, adjust reminders and notifications, and delete your account. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information, or to withdraw certain consents and object to certain processing.

To make a privacy request, contact privacy@mapledigitallabs.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request, and some rights are subject to applicable exceptions.

11. Age Requirements and Children's Privacy

Maple Gym Tracker is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and older. Individuals under 18 are not permitted to register for or use the App.

By registering for Maple Gym Tracker, users confirm that they are at least 18 years old.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that an individual under 18 has registered or provided personal information, we will take appropriate steps to investigate and delete the account and associated personal information, subject to applicable legal requirements.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App or our data-handling practices change. When we do, we will post the revised version at this address and update the effective date. Additional notice will be provided when required by applicable law.
